A look back at this summer's work on the Nationale slope

Watch our video of the work carried out this summer on the Nationale slope, in preparation for the AUDI FIS Ski World Cup in Crans-Montana on 22-23 February 2025

With the return of the men's circuit to Crans-Montana, the National slope is back in action. The last time a World Cup race was held on this track was in 2012, and the start from Bella Lui dates back to the 1987 World Championships.

The track's infrastructure therefore needed rejuvenating. The A-nets and their masts, designed to ensure the safety of the athletes, had to be checked and renewed. As technical snowmaking must be guaranteed over the entire course for a World Cup event, new snow cannons were installed on the first part of the course at Bella Lui. This technical snowmaking is also an added value for the Crans-Montana ski area outside the races. The cabling also had to be updated along the entire length of the course to meet the electrical and technological needs of the various service providers active on the races (timing, television, etc.).
