Throughout the two weeks of the World Championships, Crans-Montana will come alive not only with alpine skiing, but also with music and entertainment. International icon Barbara Hendricks, comedian and entertainer Anthony Kavanagh, the Brass Band Valaisia and the Choeurs des Collèges du Valais romand will perform as part of a series of concerts held in the main hall of the Le Régent Congress Centre.
The programme will conclude with a more festive evening featuring some of the biggest names in Schlager music.

One of the greatest voices of our time will headline an exceptional concert. Accompanied by her Blues Band, Barbara Hendricks will present Still on the Road to Freedom, a programme deeply inspired by the roots of the blues and its role in the struggle for civil rights in the United States. A world-renowned lyric singer, Barbara Hendricks has spent many years exploring the world of jazz and blues, music that is intimately connected to her origins and personal journey.
Blending blues and gospel standards with excerpts from Martin Luther King’s speeches and texts carrying messages of hope and solidarity, this concert offers a musical journey that is both moving and timeless. Guided by her unique voice and surrounded by outstanding musicians, Barbara Hendricks delivers a performance of rare intensity, where emotion, humanity and irresistible swing come together. Founded in 2008 in Chermignon and led since its inception by Arsène Duc, the Valaisia Brass Band has established itself as one of Europe’s most prestigious brass ensembles. Made up of passionate musicians from Valais, the ensemble boasts an exceptional track record, including several Swiss championship titles, a European championship title and a historic victory at the British Open, a first for a non-British ensemble.
For the gala concert « Cuivres et Sommets », the Valaisia Brass Band will offer the audience an evening dedicated to musical excellence and emotion. Renowned for the quality of its performances and the richness of its sound, the ensemble will present a varied programme featuring solo performances, film music, transcriptions of classical works, contemporary music, entertainment pieces and traditional marches.
The concert also echoes the film Valaisia, directed by Paulina Galindo and Tristan Albrecht, which tells the story of the ensemble’s remarkable journey on Europe’s greatest stages and the ascent of a peak over 4,000 metres by several musicians and their conductor. A unique evening driven by passion, team spirit and the talent of an ensemble that brings the spirit of Valais far beyond its borders.

The Chœur des Collèges de Sion et le Chœur du Collège de St-Maurice join forces to present an exceptional programme, combining the timeless power of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with the luminous sensitivity of Creation by contemporary American composer Dan Forrest.

It’s time to celebrate with the Schlager Night, an evening entirely dedicated to the world of après-ski and the greatest party hits. From 19:00 until 02:00, the atmosphere promises to be electric with a line-up featuring some of the biggest names on the Schlager scene: Frenzy, Schürze, Matty Valentino and DJ Biene.
The programme includes hours of music, dancing and good vibes, driven by iconic hits such as Layla, Hurra die Gams and Auffe aufn Berg, songs that have become staples of ski resorts and festive gatherings across Europe. The artists will keep the party going with one anthem after another in an atmosphere worthy of the greatest après-ski nights in Austria and Germany. With sing-along choruses, boundless energy and an electrifying atmosphere, Schlager Night promises a unique experience and a memorable night of celebration.
