Malorie Blanc and Franjo von Allmen as new ambassadors
The Crans-Montana 2027 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships can now count on the support of two new renowned ambassadors: Malorie Blanc and Franjo von Allmen. They both join Michelle Gisin, who has been an ambassador for several years now, to form a dynamic and passionate trio to help promote this major sporting event.
Malorie Blanc, a rising star in alpine skiing, was crowned double Junior World Champion this winter in super-g and combined. She also took silver in downhill. Despite a knee injury that prevented her from skiing for the second half of the season, she still finished in a brilliant 4th place in the European Cup super-g rankings. The collaboration with Malorie is all the more obvious given that the young skier from Ayent grew up - and learned to ski - in the resort next to Crans-Montana and was trained at the Regional Performance Centre Anzère Crans-Montana. Taking part in the World Championships on her home turf would be a dream not just for Malorie, but also for the entire local community.
Franjo von Allmen is from Boltigen in the Simmental and has enjoyed a meteoric rise this winter. Competing in his first full season on the World Cup circuit, his committed performances allowed him some strong results, including a podium finish in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen super-g. At just 22 years of age, he finished the season in an excellent 17th place in the downhill, and 14th in the super-g rankings. He may be a fan of speed and thrills, but he has his head firmly screwed on, yet he’s also ambitious and driven, making him an ideal ambassador to represent the values of authenticity and performance at the Crans-Montana World Championships.
Michelle Gisin, who has been involved as an ambassador since the bid phase, continues to lend her unfailing support and contagious enthusiasm to the World Championships organisation. The double Olympic champion, who is as versatile on skis as she is in interviews, is an emblematic figure in Swiss alpine skiing, and her participation as an ambassador is a real source of pride for Crans-Montana.
The addition of Malorie Blanc and Franjo von Allmen to the group of ambassadors further strengthens Crans-Montana's commitment to offering an exceptional event that celebrates alpine skiing at the highest level. These ambassadors will play a key role in promoting the Crans-Montana 2027 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships by sharing their passion as well as rallying local, national and international communities around this prestigious event.
