Guest management: Magalie Perren
The Zermatt-born Magalie Perren, a tourism professional, has worked as a junior marketing manager for a major sports retailer and for the Matterhorn Cervino Speed Opening. Today, she is employed by Crans-Montana 2027 as Guest management manager. In this role, she is in charge of accommodation - a crucial aspect of these World Championships - and accreditation, as well as all operational aspects of catering and hospitality.
Sports management: Sophie Genoud
Sophie Genoud, general coordinator of the Crans-Montana World Cups since 2015, has joined the World Championships team to manage the entire sporting aspects, namely relations with the international federation, team services, and the running of the sporting competitions. Her expertise in the world of skiing, her knowledge of the teams and procedures in place at Crans-Montana, combined with her great of experience as coordinator of the Omega European Masters, are major assets for Crans-Montana 2027.
Sports management support: Angelo Maina
Angelo Maina from Ticino has also recently taken up his position. He oversees logistical and technical operations on the slopes and supports Sophie Genoud in all aspects of sports management. The hands-on man was in charge of the women's alpine ski team at Swiss-Ski and held the position of race manager for Rossignol for over 15 years. His extensive experience as a team leader is now at the service of the Crans-Montana 2027 technical team.
Infrastructure: Yves Mittaz
Eagle Management has been commissioned to manage the substantial sector of temporary infrastructures. Its director Yves Mittaz, tournament director of the Omega European Masters for over 30 years, plays an essential role in the organization thanks to his extraordinary know-how in event organization and his great creativity. Surrounded by his experienced team (Gisèle Rossi, Pascal Schmalen and Samuel Mittaz), he will manage all the temporary constructions required for an event of this scale.
Staff management: Grégory Saudan
With its solid experience in popular cycling and running events, R&D Events has been entrusted with the staff management mandate. Its director Grégory Saudan and his team are responsible for finding and managing the 1,400 volunteers required for the event, as well as coordinating the involvement of the army, civil protection and security services. R&D Events has thus created a platform that fosters synergies, since the company has also taken on various missions for the 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships and the 2025 Women's Euro Football Championship.
At the beginning of April, the staff will move into their new offices in Les Barzettes. After renovation, the premises, which were already used to organize the 1987 World Championships, will become the nerve center of this new team.
With these new members, the Crans-Montana 2027 team takes another crucial step towards the realization of this major project. Every day that passes brings the vision of the long-awaited event a little closer, promising an extraordinary experience for all participants.
