Claude-Alain Schmidhalter resigns from his position
Claude-Alain Schmidhalter submitted his resignation this morning, with immediate effect, as President of the Board of Crans-Montana 2027.
Crans-Montana 2027 respects and understands this decision and would like to sincerely thank Claude-Alain Schmidhalter for his unwavering commitment to the organisation. Since the Association was established, he has been one of the driving forces behind its strategic leadership, first as a representative of Swiss-Ski and, since 2025, as President.
“Over many years, Claude-Alain has made an outstanding and valuable contribution to our event. We are deeply grateful to him for his commitment and wish him peace of mind and all the very best for the future,” said Sébastien Rey, Vice-President of Crans-Montana 2027.
The interim leadership provided by Sébastien Rey and Diego Züger ensures continuity in the organisation’s strategic leadership, while the entire Board remains mobilised and committed to the preparation of the World Championships. With only a few months to go before the event, our priority remains unchanged: to continue the work already underway and, together, deliver World Championships that will create lasting memories and unforgettable moments.
