Slope Nationale
The most beautiful super-g slope
The Nationale slope will host the men's events (downhill, super-g, giant, team combined), as well as the women's giant. The slope is known for its selectivity, and its profile is the same as that used at the 1987 World Championships, with a length of 3,670m and a vertical drop of 981m. The slope was completely remodelled in 2007 and was used in 2008 and 2010 for the Women's World Cup and in 2012 for the Men's World Cup. It was on this occasion that Bernhard Russi, Olympic champion and ski slope designer, called it "The most beautiful men's super-g slope". Since then, it has been regularly updated. In 2021, the top section of the course has been given a facelift, enabling it to be prepared to the highest international standards. The men's downhill promises to be one of the longest on the circuit, lasting well over two minutes.
